Grafton Grads Collect Honors, Achieve Milestones

Julie Cupido of Grafton has earned Highest Honors for the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year at the University of New Hampshire. Highest Honors are awarded to students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.85 or better out of a possible 4.0. 

Nicole Johnson and Katherine Rettie, both of Grafton, were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2012 semester at Eastern Connecticut State University. Both are psychology majors and will graduate this year.

Joseph S. Eddy and Max Reuben Weinstein, both of Grafton, have been named to the University of Rhode Island's Fall 2012 Dean's List. To be included on the Dean's List, students must have an at least 3.30 quality point average.

Madeline Giese, of Grafton, has been named to the Fall 2012 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. Madeline is majoring in Communications. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List.

Ashley Esper, of Grafton, a freshman majoring in accounting, was named to the fall semester Dean's List at Bryant University. She was also named to the President's List: an academic distinction reserved for Bryant's highest achievers (those who have earned a semester grade point average of 4.0.)

Elisabeth Boulanger, of Grafton, a junior majoring in biomedical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), recently completed an intensive, hands-on research project in Costa Rica. The project was titled Green Job Preparation in Costa Rica.

At WPI, all undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that addresses an important societal need or issue. About two-thirds of students complete a project at one of the university's 35 off-campus project centers, which are located around the world. A signature element of the undergraduate experience at WPI, the project-based curriculum offers students the opportunity to apply their knowledge to develop thoughtful solutions to real problems that affect the quality of people's lives-and make a difference before they graduate.
