Grafton Library Employee Goes 'Above and Beyond'

Why is this person an "Everyday Inspiration?" 
I felt the need to write this and let it be known how truly amazing Heidi Fowler, an employee with the Grafton Library is, and how she goes above and beyond each and every time she assists me at the Library.

To begin, I went to the Library to place a book on hold for school and see if there were any additional books available. Not only did Heidi get me everything I needed, she informed me about the reference section on the Library web page, that I never knew existed, to further my research.

I was beyond thrilled to learn that the information supplied was creditable and offered work cited information if I decided to use it as a resource and as we know this is not like most information found on the internet. Once we finished, she also help me reset my password on my personal account because I was not able to log in and insisted that I call next time and anyone would help to reset it which would be faster than waiting to come in. I am hoping this doesn’t happen again, but this was reassuring to know I had alternative options if it does!

Lastly, after I came back from lunch she emailed me another resource, a website her friend is part of that contained further information for me on the author I am researching. At that point she had no further obligation to continuing help me, but she did! She definitely has provided me with more information than I expected to do my report. She has made this process and research easy for me, that I am hoping she’ll offer to write the paper for me too!

I cannot express how grateful I am to have someone eager to help me and to see how devoted and knowledgeable she is to her job! We need more people like her working with us because she truly is an asset to this organization.

How does this person work to make others' lives better?

She helps people above and beyond to provide them with the information they are looking for even if it means other avenues and resources out of Grafton and her means. She is knowledgeable and has a passion for books and her job and tries to encourage and inspire people to do the same.

She will take the time to offer suggestions on books and authors that you may enjoy when talking about books you are reading, have read, or ones that can help within your life if events are taking place.
