Grafton Man Arrested on Pot Charges
Police report $85,000 worth of marijuana was seized from a town residence.

have arrested a town man on drug charges after seizing about $85,000 worth of high-grade marijuana from his home at 4 North Main St., according to Police Chief Normand A. Crepeau.
 Jae Ho Kim, 24, of 4 North Main St., was arrested and charged with conspiracy to violate narcotic drug laws and possession with intent to distribute a class D controlled substance.
 Kim was held on $10,000 cash bail at Grafton Police Headquarters pending his arraignment today at Westborough District Court.

In addition to seizing about  21 pounds of high grade marijuana, police also discovered about $2,2000 in U.S. currency, Chief Crepeau said. Packaging materials and other evidence were also confiscated from the residence, the chief said.
The arrest resulted from information provided Nov. 29 by investigators assigned to the Department of Justice Drug Interdiction Task Force of Long Beach, CA.   The information indicated that the task force had profiled suspicious packages being sent from a location in their jurisdiction to an address located in Grafton.

The task force investigation revealed that these packages met the Department of Justice criteria consistent with illegal narcotics distribution. Â Acting on this information, Grafton Police Detectives initiated an investigation to determine the location and identity of the recipient of the suspicious packages in the Town of Grafton.
On Tuesday, Nov. 30, Grafton detectives, along with members of the Blackstone Valley Drug Task Force and the Shrewsbury Police Department, obtained additional information and intelligence that enabled them to apply for a search warrant for the suspicious packages as well as the point of delivery in Grafton.
