Grafton One Of The Safest Cities In Massachusetts: Report
You might recognize a few of the communities dubbed safest by the National Council for Home Safety & Security.

GRAFTON, MA—Grafton has come in within the top 50 of a "safest cities of Massachusetts" list. Alarms.org published the National Council for Home Safety and Security list of the Safest Cities in Massachusetts 2018. We're going to run the top 50, but you can see the full list here.
With a population of 18,613, Grafton reported 29 violent crimes and 80 property crimes for the year, putting them at number 25 in the safest city list.
For the survey, the National Council reviewed the most recent FBI Uniform Crime Report statistics along with its own population data and internal research. It also eliminated any cities that failed to submit a complete crime report to the FBI and removed cities with populations with less than 10,000.

The cities on the list were ranked based on the number of reported violent crimes and property crimes per 1,000 people. Massachusetts placed near the national mean in violent crime, with an average of 3.91 violent crimes per 1,000 inhabitants.
