Grafton Police Join Pink Patch Project For Breast Cancer

The department joins over 400 public safety agencies across the nation and support the Pink Patch Project.

GRAFTON, MA — October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Grafton police are helping to raise awareness about the disease and finding a cure by using their police patches. The Grafton Police Department joined the Pink Patch Project and will be wearing pink police patches throughout October.

Over 400 public safety agencies across the nation are part of the Pink Patch Project

The goal of this project is to increase education about the importance of early detection and prevention and to raise funds to further research, treatment, and care of those who are or have battled cancer. All proceeds from the sale of our pink patches will benefit a non-profit organization that assists in cancer treatment, research and/or education.

During October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, uniformed personnel are allowed to replace the standard shoulder patch with the Grafton Police Pink Patch as a reminder of the commitment toward raising awareness among those we serve.

The Grafton Police Pink Patches are $10 each. To purchase a Pink Patch, stop by Grafton Police Headquarters or send a self-addressed stamped envelope with a check/money order for $10.00 made payable to the Grafton Police Association - Pink Patch Project, 28 Providence Road, Grafton, MA 01519. All proceeds from the sales will be donated to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
