Grafton Student Awarded Rockland Trust Scholarship

Daniel McDonald was one of 11 students awarded a scholarship from Rockland Trust.

GRAFTON, MA — Rockland Trust has announced the recipients of its 2020 Scholarship Program. Daniel McDonald of Grafton was one of 11 students awarded a scholarship from Rockland Trust.

The winners were selected based on academic performance, community involvement, extracurricular activities, and an essay on the importance of community service. Rockland Trust received over 2,000 applications this year, the largest amount of applications Rockland Trust has received in the history of the program.

The scholarship program was open to high school seniors entering their freshman year of college for the 2020/2021 school year residing in the communities served by Rockland Trust.

“Despite not being able to hold our ceremony this year, we wanted to make sure these students were still recognized for their tremendous accomplishments,” said Christopher Oddleifson CEO of Rockland Trust. “Each one of these inspiring young adults has already made a meaningful impact in their community and we’re proud to support them as they take another step toward achieving their dreams.”
