While shopping for his groceries, Bill Yeomans was struck with gratitude for the grocery store workers he saw and decided to act on it.

GRAFTON, MA — Grocery store workers across the country are on the front lines of the pandemic ensuring shelves stay stocked and one Grafton resident felt propelled to show thanks during his shopping trip this week.

He bought several store gift cards before he checked out and distributed them to each employee in the checkout area.

"If you have the means, perhaps you should consider doing the same on your next trip to whatever market you favor — it’s an easy way to say thank you," Yeomans told the town, "On my next trip, I’m going to buy the gift cards on the way in and give them to Stop & Shop employees as I shop ensuring equitable distribution of my thanks."
