Marlborough Police Dispatcher, Grafton Resident, Dies at 39
Joshua Duckworth was a dispatcher for Marlborough police for 16 years.

Grafton, MA --Â Joshua P. Duckworth, 39, of North Grafton, MA, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Marlborough Hospital.
Born and raised in Marlborough, he was the son of Nancy I. (Jaworek) Duckworth of Marlborough and the late Robert M. Duckworth. He was the life partner of Laura Van Voorhis of North Grafton, with whom he had shared the last eleven years.

Joshua graduated from Assabet Valley Regional High School and attended Mass Bay Community College. He had been employed as a dispatcher for the City of Marlborough Police Department for 16 years.
Joshua had many interests. He enjoyed hiking with Laura and their dogs, Grizzly and Molly, kayaking, his family and play time with his niece Ryleigh, boxing at the Paladin Gym, music and the Bruins.

Besides his mother, Nancy and Laura, he is survived by his brother Robert Duckworth and his wife Lisa of Richmond Hill, GA, his sisters, Joanne Burke and her husband Hugh of Auburn, MA and Jodi Sullivan and her husband Jef of Oakham, MA, and his uncle, Charlie Jaworek of Marlborough, 3 nephews and 3 nieces and many cousins.
