Nine Candidates Take Out Papers
Two residents express interest in selectman's posts.

Nine candidates have taken out nomination papers for the spring election as of Feb. 7, according to the ffice.
John B. Dowling  III and Bruce W. Spinney III have taken out papers for the two available  seats on the Board of Selectmen.Â
Incumbent Mary Ann Cotton has announced she will not run for re-election. The second incumbent selectman, Christopher LeMay, has not made a public announcement.

Raymond E. Mead has taken out papers for Town Moderator, a three-year position currently held by Roger Trahan Jr.
Donna K. Stock has taken out papers for another, three-year term on the School Committee. Hers is the only school board seat open this year.

Only one candidate has taken out nomination papers so far for Planning Board. David Robbins is seeking the two-year term he was appointed to that filled a vacancy.
No papers have been taken out yet for the three-year term now held by Heath Christensen.
Charles A. Villee and Holly Walton have taken out papers for the two, three-year terms they currently hold on the Board of Library Trustees.
No papers have yet been filed for the one-year term that is available to fill a vacancy. Doug Bowman was appointed to that position.
On the Housing Authority, James J. Gallagher Jr. has taken out papers for the five-year term he currently holds. Faith Margaret Muello has taken out papers for the two-year she was appointed to in order to fill a vacancy.
Nomination papers signed by 50 voters are due in the Town Clerk's office by 5 p.m. March 14.Â
