Parts of Flint Pond and Lake Quinsigamond Closed for Drinking, Recreational Use
The bodies of water are being treated to control aquatic vegetation.

Residents beware: parts of Lake Quinsigamond and Flint Pond will be closed for swimming, drinking and recreational use.
According to a release on the Town of Shrewsbury website, the lakes are being treated with Reward (Diquat) herbicide to control invasive species that are taking hold in the water.
"Lake water from treated areas is not to be used for drinking or irrigation for 5 days or until July 2," the website says.
