PHOTOS OF THE DAY: Rehabilitated Snowy Owl Released To The Wild
This Shrewsbury resident, who works at Tufts, helped rehabilitate and release a snowy owl back to nature.
GRAFTON, MA—Jessica Zorge, who works at Tufts Wildlife Clinic at Cummings Veterinary Medical Center at Tufts University, released a rehabilitated snowy owl last weekend after it received treatment at the clinic.
The snowy owl suffered from anticoagulant rodenticide toxicosis and was cleared for release after 57 days of medical care and conditioning, said the announcement from the clinic. Zorge, who lives in Shrewsbury and was accompanied on this release by her 6-year-old daughter Harper, is also a State and Federally permitted wildlife rehabilitator specializing in birds of prey.
