Students Walk to School

The North Street and the North Grafton Elementary schools held their third annual walkathon last week. The ”Education for Fitness Walkathon” promotes school spirit and serves as a vehicle to actively teach the children about healthy living.

The two schools combined have approximately 800 students. Having it during the school day gives every student the opportunity to participate. Students are able to participate in a healthy activity and needed funds are raised for the schools.

The schools thank all 2012 sponsors, including (as of Aug. 30): Gold Level Sponsor $500: Fallon Community Health Plan; Silver Level Sponsor $300: UniBank; Bronze Level Sponsors $100: Toll Brothers / North Grafton Preserve, Anzio's Brick Oven Pizza and Aggregate Industries.

In-kind Donations: AMF Town & Country Lanes of Shrewsbury, North Star Figure Skating Club, SHARC/Shrewsbury Health and Racquet Club, Wachusett Mountain, Wegmans and Westborough Tennis & Swim Club.
