WINNER: Veterans Photo Contest

Readers have uploaded dozens of photos of service members, past and present, to our veterans photo contest.

We hope that the gallery serves as a tribute to those who serve.

We took our time reading through all the captions and learning about the men and women in the pictures. We highly recommend you do the same.

Only one winner could be chosen to receive a $25 gift card.

After much deliberation, we went with the photo uploaded by Robin Williams Jenner of her father, Raymond Williams, who has inspired the family to hold a clothing drive for homeless veterans each fall.

"My father is Raymond Williams, who resided in Kentucky at the time of his enlistment. He was a signalman on the USS Lloyd Thomas, and sailed with Mediterranean Tour," Robin wrote in the caption. "After the Navy, he resided in Natick with his wife and eight children, who adored him. He passed two years ago on Memorial Day Weekend. Every Fall, close to his birthday, my sisters and I hold a very successful Homeless Veterans Clothing drive in his honor! He was the nicest man you would ever want to me. If you need any help or hope this was your man to talk with."
