Y Sells $8 Mil. Bond to Renovate Locations, Including the Boroughs Family Branch

The YMCA of Central MA borrowed $8 million to make renovations for four locations, including a pool and splash pad at the Boroughs branch.

Through a sale of a tax-exempt bond, the YMCA of Central Massachusetts borrowed $8 million that it will use to renovate four of its locations, including Westborough.

The Worcester Telegram and Gazette reports that the Y will pay for 27 update projects, including at the Westborough branch. In Westborough, plans are to add an outdoor pool and splash park for the Boroughs Family Branch on Valentine Drive.

The Boroughs Family Branch opened in 1983 and now provides serves and programs to Berlin, Grafton, Hudson, Marlborough, Northborough, Shrewsbury, Southborough, Upton and Westborough.
