During this time, and despite the Covid-19 Pandemic, Beverly Regional Airport has experienced an unprecedented growth in volume of over 51% in total operations within four years.
This unprecedented growth translates to increased revenues, job creation and business growth for the communities we serve, and is a huge motivating factor for Gloria.
What Now
This significant growth begs an assessment of the current infrastructure, and the creation of the most comprehensive plan and framework for the next 20 years… the Beverly Regional Airport Master Plan is that roadmap to our future.
Where We Were Going
The last Airport Master Plan was conducted almost 20-years ago, at a time when the fleet mix was mainly smaller aircraft using the airport as an alternative to Boston Logan.
One aspect of the old plan if implemented would have had undesirable implications for our businesses and surrounding communities, so when Gloria became Airport Manager she recommended the development of new, comprehensive Master Plan to reflect new opportunities and challenges that are suitable and obtainable for the Beverly Regional Airport of today.
Where We Are Going
The future of Beverly Regional Airport is very bright, and you are invited to join us.
Currently we are hosting meetings to discuss data and input that we have received from a wide variety of sources. We are inviting you to watch, listen and contribute as we unpack all that we have learned.
Collaboration and Appreciation
The best plans are arrived at collectively, and the Beverly Regional Airport Master Plan is no exception. The stakeholders including the on-airport businesses, the Airport Commission, the communities of Beverly, Danvers Wenham and Mayor Cahill have all played a vital role in getting the plan to its current point.
Gloria Bouillon says, “through much collaboration with Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Aeronautics, and the Federal Aviation Administration, our project team of engineers and planners, we are bringing the most preferred alternative to develop the Airport in the most sustainable path forward. I say most preferred because it is the least invasive, most cost effective and positions Beverly Regional Airport to be successful for the long term.
