Capt. Carl M. Perdue, Jr.: Navy Veteran, Hamilton-Wenham High Graduate
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that contributions be made in Perdue's name to the charity of one's choosing.
Capt. Carl M. Perdue, Jr., 52, formerly of Hamilton, son of Carl M. Perdue Sr. of Middleton and the late Barbara (Sixt) Perdue, died unexpectedly, Monday, July 6, 2015 during transitional training for his 737 Aircraft Captaincy in Irving, Texas.
Born in Beverly, Carl was raised in Hamilton and graduated from Hamilton-Wenham Regional. He attended the University of Rochester where he graduated with a Political Science degree and pursued his dream of becoming a pilot through a Navy ROTC Scholarship.
After graduating, he earned his wings of gold and proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a P-3 Orion pilot during Operation Desert Storm and as a Primary Flight Instructor. Following eight years of honorable service, Captain Perdue joined American Airlines as a pilot where he had been employed for the past 20 years and was an active member of the Allied Pilots Association.

A longtime resident of Middleton, Carl was a passionate golfer and member of Ferncroft Country Club. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and annual travels with the “Adventure Club,” a group of University of Rochester classmates and his closest friends who traveled on numerous exotic adventures throughout the world.
In addition to his father, he is survived by two sisters, Jacqueline P. Martin and her husband, Bill of Hamilton and Cynthia Perdue-Dolan and her husband, Dennis of Butte, Mont.; a brother, James Perdue and his wife, Sue, of San Diego, Calif.; and his very special nieces and nephews, Billy, Catherine, Abigail, Tommy, Patrick, Nate, Maddy and Perrin.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated at the Church of St. Paul, 50 Union Street, Hamilton, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10 a.m. Visiting hours were held on Friday at the Church of St. Paul.
