Deadline For Nomination Papers Approaches For Hamilton Election
There are 11 open position in this year's Hamilton election.
HAMILTON, MA — The deadline to pull and return nomination papers for Hamilton's annual town election is about a week and a half away.
Hamilton's annual town election is scheduled for May 6 and there are 11 open positions that will be on the ballot. The last day to submit and file nomination papers is March 18 — papers were made available in January.
Hamilton nomination papers require 40 signatures and School Committee nomination papers require 40 voter signatures from either town.

Here are the open positions on the ballot:
- Board of Selectmen: Two positions open for 3 year term
- Board of Assessors: One position open for 3 year term
- Planning Board: Two positions open for 3 year term
- Housing Authority: One position open for 5 year term
- Town Moderator: One position open for 1 year term
- Hamilton-Wenham Library Trustee: Two positions open for 3 year term
- Hamilton-Wenham Regional School Committee: Two positions open for 3 year term
