The Essex County Sheriff’s Department is now accepting applicants who are at least 21 years old with a High School diploma or a GED equivalent for Correctional Officer positions.

The Sheriff’s Department currently has openings for qualified candidates. The starting salary for a Correctional Officer is between $63,962.26 and $68,042.27, with an excellent health care and benefits package.
