The Hamilton-Wenham Generals improved to 6-0 on the season with a convincing win over the defending Division 3 State Champions Ipswich Tigers 11-4. The Generals scored the first 5 goals of the contest and never looked back taking an 8-1 lead into the half. The Generals brought a dominant defense, offense, and ground ball effort in the first half, and were able to hang on through some sloppy play in the second half.
The Generals were led offensively by senior captain Andrew Riccio(3G, 3A), senior Griggin Barlow(4G, 1A), and senior Cole Dwyer (2G, 1A). They also got points from senior Bryson Cala(1G), junior Aidan Nistl(1G), junior Clint Gourdeau (1A), and senior Tommy Lattanzi(1A).

The Generals got great defensive games from junior Henry Schibli, who held Ipswich's top offensive threat Pat Gillis in check. Gillis would get Ipswich's first goal on a man-up opportunity half way through the 2nd quarter. Senior Zane Clark, junior Clint Gourdeau, freshman Max Bensley, and sophomore Colby Cala also did a great job defensively. Junior Sam Webber also had a nice day facing off for the Generals.
Hamilton-Wenham will be back in action on Friday against Triton Regional.
