Hamilton Police Participating In 20th Drug Take Back Day

The Hamilton Police are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Agency once again to participate in the 20th Drug Take Back Day.

April 7, 2021

The Hamilton Police are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Agency once again to participate in the 20th Drug Take Back Day. The event will be held on April 24th from 10am-2pm at the Hamilton Public Safety building. Studies have shown a majority of abused prescription drugs come from family and friends, including from home medicine cabinets. Clearing out unused medicine is essential. The public can drop off tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. Liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes and other sharps, and illegal drugs will NOT be accepted. Vaping devices and cartridges can also be disposed of at that day provided the lithium batteries have been removed. Help reduce drug addiction and stem prescription overdose deaths.
