Hamilton And Wenham To Host Annual Memorial Day Parades
The parades will be held on Monday, May 30.
The towns of Hamilton and Wenham will host their annual Memorial Day Parades on Monday, May 30.
Hamilton’s annual parade will start at 8:55 a.m. at the Town Hall at 577 Bay Rd. and will march to Patton Park. The parade will include a ceremony honoring those that have served America. A wreath laying will take place to honor veterans from the nations most recent wars, from World War II to Afghanistan. Following the parade, the public is invited to a short presentation and free lunch at Post 194 at 37 School St.
Wenham’s annual parade will start shortly after the Hamilton parade. The events begin at 11:45 a.m. with the decoration of the Alan B. Cheese Man Memorial by the American legion.

The Wenham Memorial Day Parade will form in front on Post 194 at 12:30 p.m., with a salute to the colors at 1 p.m. The parade will march down School St., turn left onto Perkins, then left onto Bruce Lane, and then left onto Arbor St. where there will be a short ceremony at the Veteran’s Memorial. The parade will then continue to the Civil War Memorial for another short ceremony, and then merge onto Main St. before concluding at Wenham Cemetery. There is a service planned at Wenham Cemetery to honor the town’s veterans.
The Wenham Council on Aging will have a van for anyone that would like transportation to and from the Wenham Cemetery. The pick-up and drop-off will be at Bessie Buker School.
