High School Students Look to Expand LGBT Group
The group is planning recruitment drives in the fall
HAMILTON – Students at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School are looking to expand the district's first LGBTQSA club next fall, Wicked Local reports.
The school's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Strait, and Allies group was started late this spring. The goal is to provide a safe environment to discuss LGBT issues.
According to Wicked Local, the sophomore students who started the group will look to expand its membership next fall by taking part in various recruitment drives conducted by the school. Additionally, group members may look to place a rainbow flag in the school library as part of small outreach projects.
