The U.S. News and World Report released its nationwide ranking this week, alongside its ranking of high schools by state.

HAMILTON, MA — The U.S. News and World Report released its ranking for top high schools in the United States earlier this week, alongside rankings for each state.

Hamilton-Wenham Regional High ranked 32nd in Massachusetts, out of 348 schools.

The methodology used for this year’s ranking focused on six factors: college readiness, reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rates.

The data used in this edition is from the 2018-2019 academic school year and, therefore, was not affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

  2. Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School — Hadley
  3. Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School — Marlborough
  4. Pioneer Charter School of Science 2 (PCSS-2) — Saugus
  5. The Bromfield School — Harvard
  6. Belmont High — Belmont
  7. Lexington High — Lexington
  8. Dover-Sherborn Regional High — Dover
  9. Weston High — Weston
  10. Hopkinton High School — Hopkinton

The nationwide ranking includes more than 17,800 high schools nationwide — Hamilton-Wenham Regional High came in at 778.
