Obituary: Robert A. McRae, 89, Former Hamilton Fire Chief
Robert Arthur McRae, 89, a former Hamilton fire chief a cobbler died Saturday.

Robert Arthur McRae, 89, beloved husband of the late Eva (LaMothe) McRae, with whom he shared passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody.
Robert is retired Hamilton firefighter and former Fire Chief. Robert is survived by one son: Michael McRae and his wife Pamela of Maryland; six grandchildren: Scott, Shaun, Glendon, Heather, Alvaro and Chris; and 12 great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law Donna Iovanni of Vermont. He is predeceased by his son Wayne McRae, his second wife of nine years, Shirley (Burke) McRae and his brothers and sisters: Alfred, Kenny, Gordon, Carlton, Eloise, and Bessie.

A Funeral Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 391 Bay Road, Hamilton on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Hamilton Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Robert’s Memory to the Hamilton Fire Department, 265 Bay Road, Hamilton, MA 01982.
