School of Rock The Musical - Youth Version
You'll be Thunderstruck! Presented by Stage 284 Youth Company
Are you ready for a revolution!? Do you pledge allegiance to the band!? For those about to rock, Stage 284 Youth Company will have you shaking at the knees with School of Rock The Musical for 6 shows from April 28 – May 6.
A musical comedy highlighting the talents of Stage 284 youth actors and The Fabulous School of Music students. A man without a band, Dewey Finn, was just a substitute for another guy when he was blown away by the musical aptitude of students at a prestigious prep school. Dewey leads the young scholars in forming a band with the goal of winning an upcoming Battle of the Bands contest.

“These kids have risen above and beyond the call of duty to prepare for this show. Not only have many of them picked up instruments for the first time ever, they are now playing them on stage. The pit band is almost entirely made up of student musicians. Erin, Kyle and their students from The Fabulous School of Music in Beverly are playing the music for the entire show.” Director Katie Clarke
"The School of Rock production contains a group of actors and actresses learning how to rock, and what it means to be in a band. Our show is unique because the pit band is a group of young musicians who have trained at the Fabulous School of Music with me for years, paralleling the narrative of the play. The performance highlights the importance of being heard, but first, how to develop one's voice in the name of Rock & Roll and sticking it to the man!” Music Director Erin Burke-Moran, guitarist for Caspian (an American post-rock band) and instructor at The Fabulous School of Music in Beverly.
