GLOUCESTER, MA — St. Peter's Fiesta 2018 takes place June 27 to July 1 bringing with it a variety of festivities to Gloucester's St. Peter's Square.

The St. Peter's Fiesta started in 1927 as a way for Gloucester's Italian-American community to honor St. Peter, the patron saint of the fishermen. It started in 1927 with a statue of St. Peter being built in Gloucester's Italian American district. That statue is still carried around in the festival's parades to this day.
