St. Peter's Fiesta 2018 Takes Place June 27-July 1

GLOUCESTER, MA — St. Peter's Fiesta 2018 takes place June 27 to July 1 bringing with it a variety of festivities to Gloucester's St. Peter's Square.

Activities include carnivals, parades, food, Seine boat races, greasy pole contests, blessings and masses for Gloucester's fishing industry and much more. Click here to see the activity schedule for this year's festival.

The St. Peter's Fiesta started in 1927 as a way for Gloucester's Italian-American community to honor St. Peter, the patron saint of the fishermen. It started in 1927 with a statue of St. Peter being built in Gloucester's Italian American district. That statue is still carried around in the festival's parades to this day.
