This summer workshop limited to 28 students will prepare a full production of a musical to be performed on the Stage 284 Main Stage. This workshop will explore performance that will get your kids up and exercising their imaginations! Though creative movement, writing, theater games, props, set and costume character development and analysis, we will explore the art of drama from the ground up. A perfect creative outlet for Summer!

Stage 284 is thrilled to welcome Annie Jr. Director Marc Murai back as the director for this terrific program! Marc Murai has been teaching theatre for over twenty years. Through his career in theatre and film, Marc has had the pleasure of working with such notables as: Ray Bradbury, Carlos Santana, Seth Green, Mickey Mouse, Elisabeth Murdoch and Sylvia Panetta. His film and television projects have garnered a total of nine Emmy’s, the George Foster Peabody Award as well as numerous other national and international awards.
Ashley Walker had previously joined us for Stage 284’s production of Annie. Ashley grew up loving the stage! She participated in multiple theater productions throughout her high school career at Lexington Christian Academy. She continued to study and receive a theater minor at Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida, where she also majored in Elementary Education. Upon moving back to Massachusetts, Ashley began work at Covenant Christian Academy in Peabody, MA. She has directed the Grammar School theater production, run theater workshops at the school, and currently teaches second grade. She is excited to spend some of the summer with Stage 284, returning as assistant director instead of performer!
