If so, you may be looking for a new planner, and wondering why you're not getting a call back.

The home page of Boston Eventworks says that the company “possesses extensive local knowledge, expertise and resources to plan the perfect event in New England. From coordinating travel, securing hotels and ground transportation for your delegates and special guests to programming tours, meetings and parties, we are here to make your time in New England memorable and productive!”
The last post on Boston Eventworks’ Facebook page reminded folks to sign up for its free wedding expo on June 9.
But reports are that this longtime event planning company based in Medford has gone out of business, and neglected to inform hundreds of clients.

The Massachusetts Attorney General’s office confirmed to FOX25-News that it is investigating Boston Eventworks for no fewer than seven complaints from couple who had paid for services. One couple who talked with Fox said that they paid $2,700 for a package that will no longer be honored. The couple found out when the videographer called.
Owner Warren Scott reportedly emailed customers and vendors, indicating that, “It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that Boston Eventworks, BE Weddings and BE Colleges, after 35 years in business, has been shuttered, reported Fox, and added that the company filed for bankruptcy.

Vendors, too, reported that the company owes them payment.
