Wenham PD Offer Autism Awareness Seatbelt Covers
The covers help first responders identify if a person in a vehicle is on the autism spectrum during an emergency.
WENHAM, MA — The Wenham Police Department is offering autism awareness seatbelt covers for community members.
The autism awareness seatbelt covers are free for any resident who needs one. The covers, which can also be attached to the strap of a backpack, help first responders identify if a person in a vehicle is on the autism spectrum during an emergency, allowing them to respond accordingly.
The blue seatbelt covers feature the Autism Awareness logo along with the phrase "May resist help."
