Wenham Traffic: Overnight Lane Closures To Come

WENHAM, MA — Upcoming construction from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation will temporarily close one road in Wenham.

Temporary single lane closures will be on Route 128 northbound and southbound from Grapevine Road in Wenham to Grant Circle in Gloucester, starting on April 5. Closures will take place weekly, from Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. The work is scheduled to continue through November 2021, and then resume in Spring 2022.

The work is part of a $16.9 million resurfacing project along Route 128. The full project is expected to be completed in October 2023.

MassDOT encourages drivers to reduce speed and use caution while approaching and traveling through the work zone and to allow for extra time through this area.
