MA Man Wins $1M On $5 Birthday Scratch Ticket
Gjergji Prifti hit the jackpot after his wife bought him a Massachusetts State Lottery scratch ticket for his birthday.
IPSWICH, MA — Happy birthday, indeed. An Ipswich man won $1 million on a $5 scratch ticket his wife got him for his birthday, the state lottery said. Gjergji Prifti won on the back of the $1,000,000 Double Jackpot ticket, which features chances to win on both sides. His wife bought it at Richdale in Ipswich. The store gets a $10,000 bonus for selling it.
Prifti chose the one-time cash payout of $650,000 (less tax withholdings.)
The lottery said the game still has two $1 million prizes floating around.
