Hingham Named to 'Best Places to Live' by Boston Magazine

Hingham was mentioned along with Weston, Beacon Hill, Manchester By The Sea and Brookline as part of the list of "Going Huge," which recommends communities for people looking for a town with great resources.

Hingham was named  one of the “Best Places to Live 2013” in Boston magazine’s March issue.

This list displays the top spots for home buyers to consider.

Hingham was mentioned for its colonial and Victorian homes, vibrant street life,  proximity to Boston, and views of the Boston Harbor.

 “Hingham beckons high-end buyers who crave antique homes and have the patience and wherewithal for lengthy restoration projects," the Magazine writes. "Nearly six years after the commuter rail went underground, the town center and old shipyard hum with vibrant street life, as pedestrians and window-shoppers shuttle between boutiques and restaurants.”

In addition to the “Going Huge” list, Boston Magazine also made a list of places for homebuyers  who are “Starting Out,” and “Moving Up.”
