Alan Frederick Enzer, 55, of Holliston, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of Hermann Enzer of Manassas, VA and the late Agnes (Nielsen) Enzer. He was the husband of 26 years to Noranne (Lopes) Enzer of Holliston.
Alan graduated from the University of Chicago in 1985. He was the winner of that year's Olga and Pual Menn Award for Creative Fiction.
Besides his wife and father, Alan leaves behind his two sons, Nicholas and Christopher Enzer, both of Holliston, and his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Denise Enzer of Herndon, VA. Alan was a gentle giant, literally larger than life – he was a father, an intellectual, a humorist, and a teacher. He enjoyed writing and playing guitar, and especially loved raising his sons.
