Celebrate Holliston 2017: Parade, Chili Contest, Citizens Of The Year, More

Here's everything you need to know about the festival this Saturday, Sept. 16.

HOLLISTON, MA – The 2017 Celebrate Holliston festival returns this Saturday, Sept. 16. The day-long celebration kicks off at with a parade at 9 a.m., followed by Field Day events at Goodwill Park.

Activities include the chili contest, stage acts, inflatables and the 2017 Holliston Citizens of the Year reading. This year's Holliston Citizens of the Year are Lisa Zais and Herb Brockert Jr., two active community volunteers.

Parade Route

The parade line-up begins at 8 a.m. in the Placentino School parking lot. Those who wish to participate must complete a registration form on-site prior to the start of the parade at 9 a.m.

The parade route is Woodland to Railroad. It will turn right on Central and head up to Washington, then make a left at the Square onto Washington. At that point, participants will make a right onto Green (if you are going to the field on foot) or left onto Exchange (if you have a vehicle that needs to return to Woodland).

All vehicles must continue onto Exchange Street and Railroad to allow passengers going to Field Day to disembark.
