Community Calling For Answers After Hopkinton Teenager's Death

Mikayla Miller, a 16-year-old in Hopkinton, died in April. DA Marian Ryan said Sunday that her office is waiting for an autopsy report.

HOPKINTON, MA — Members of the Hopkinton community are holding a vigil and rally on Thursday for Mikayla Miller, a 16-year-old who died the weekend of April 17 and 18. The organizers say that her disappearance and death remains a mystery, and some community members are calling for more details surrounding her death to be released by the police. The vigil and rally will be held Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at East Main Street in Hopkinton.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said in a statement that her office is waiting for the cause of death to come back from the medical examiner while they continue investigating.

“The death of Mikayla Miller is a tragedy and an unimaginable loss for her family and the entire community,” Ryan said in her statement Sunday evening. “We know that everyone mourning her is seeking answers.”
