The Swiss company Lonza is set to cut roughly 200 of the 300 jobs at its Hopkinton location, according to a report from Boston.com.
The report states that Lonza, a biopharmaceutical company based in Switzerland, will cut two thirds of the 300 jobs at its Hopkinton location in two stages starting in September, according to the report. The Hopkinton site is located on 97 South Street with activities listed as being production and research and development, according to the Lonza website.
According to a company spokesperson who spoke with a reporter for Boston.com, this is part os a restructuring and operations will continue in Hopkinton.
