HOLLISTON, MA — Holliston police found the owner of a dog that was wandering the streets on Monday morning. Police said the dog was spotted by a driver who stopped to calm the dog down after noticing it run through traffic on Hollis street.

The dog, which appears to be a collie, was with officers for a some time during the morning — it didn't take police long to find the owner and reunite the pair. The department tweeted a photo of the pup wrapped in a pink blanket. Police said they weren't sure if the dog was hurt during it's run or just a bit frightened from all of the cars it ran past.

Police said Animal Control officials will follow up with the dog and owner.
