Foxwoods MA Casino Presentation Tonight at Milford High

As the planning and permitting process continues for casino proposals across the state, Milford Selectmen and community members will be getting their first detailed look at the plans for Foxwoods, MA tonight.

The developers are expected to present their plans for the architectural design of the casino along with discussion of some mitigation for the impacts of the new development in town.

"I think what people are going to see tonight is really revolutionary in terms of thought process and design; it’s really going to look like a New England style resort," Scott Butera, CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino, said in a phone interview.

Butera has already discussed the , making it the second largest employer in town.

This will be the second meeting between the developers and the Milford Selectmen. In April the developers presented their basic proposal.

Because a large crowd is expected for tonight's meeting, the presentation will be held at Milford High School, 31 West Fountain St. at 7 p.m.
