Holliston Business Receives Workforce Training Grant

The business, American Acoustical Products, will be able to train 54 employees.

American Acoustical Products in Holliston is one of 72 companies in Massachusetts that was given grant money from the Workforce Training Fund.

According to a press release from the Office of Governor Deval Patrick, the company will receive $88,000, which will be used to train 54 new employees and create six jobs.

“The Workforce Training Fund offers employees the ability to learn new skills and expertise that allows their employers to compete more effectively in their respective industries,” Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD) Secretary Joanne F. Goldstein said. “It’s a proven resource and we look forward to working with the business community to further implement training initiatives and partner with them to maintain a highly skilled workforce in all regions and all economic sectors of the Commonwealth.”

The companies have two years to use the grant money. In total 414 new jobs are expected to be created.
