Holliston Coronavirus: BOH Requires Face Masks In Public
Holliston residents will now be required to wear face coverings whenever they are out in public.

HOLLISTON, MA — Holliston residents are now required to wear face coverings in public. The Holliston Board of Health voted on Tuesday to require the face covering to try to slow the spread of the new coronavirus. Residents over the age of five will be be required to wear masks when out.
Under the order, face mass are required in essential businesses by customers and employees. Employees are also required to wear gloves and frequently wash their hands. Face coverings must be worn in or at all public spaces such as parks, sidewalks, streets, paths, squares, or outdoor commercial areas such as parking lots and outdoor premises of retail locations. According to the order, joggers and cyclists must adhere as well, along with pedestrians.
Face coverings can be made at home from bandanas or cloth and must cover the nose and mouth.

While face coverings can help control the spread of COVID-19, Cassidy reminds the public that it is an extra protection to supplement physical distancing to help reduce transmission of the virus. Use of facial coverings do not make it safe for people to start congregating.
The emergency order goes into effect on Wednesday.
