Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee Endorses Mermell for Congress

HDTC is the first Democratic town or city committee to endorse in race to succeed Congressman Joe Kennedy III

HOPKINTON - Jesse Mermell was today endorsed by the Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee. They are the first Democratic city or town committee to endorse in the crowded race to succeed Rep. Joe Kennedy III.

"The HDTC has been impressed with Jesse's commitment to represent all the communities in the MA CD4 district,” said the Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee (HDTC). “We appreciate her continued presence in Hopkinton getting to know what is important to constituents, whether in person or virtually, Jesse shows up and ready to be our Congresswoman in the Fourth District."

Mermell has built the strongest Hopkinton coalition in the race, with endorsements from State Rep Carolyn Dykema, Hopkinton Select Board Members Irfan Nasrullah, Mary Jo Lafreniere, and Amy Ritterbusch, Hopkinton Planning Board Chair and former Select Board Member Muriel Kramer, Chair of the Hopkinton Board of Health Lisa Whittemore and Hopkinton Democratic Town Committee Chair Darlene Hayes.

Election Day is September 1st but voters can vote-by-mail or vote early in person now. Voters choosing to vote-by-mail should return their ballots using their town’s drop box, per instructions from the Secretary of State.
