Hopkinton Man Killed In I-495 Crash

HOPKINTON, MA — A 61-year-old Hopkinton man died Tuesday after a rollover crash along I-495 in Tewksbury, according to state police.

Kevin Furey was driving in the southbound lanes of the highway near 12:30 p.m. when he drifted into the median and then rolled down an embankment, state police said. No other cars were involved in the crash.

Police said Furey likely suffered a medical issue while driving, causing him to lose control of his car.

The crash closed one lane of southbound I-495 for about two hours on Tuesday afternoon.
