Hopkinton Native Earns Spot On Collegiate Rowing Team

Madison Goodrow has earned a spot on the spring rowing team at Assumption College the next meet will be on Apr. 1

From The Assumption College Department of Athletics: The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced that Madison Goodrow, of Hopkinton, has earned a coveted spot on the 2016-17 Assumption College Women's Rowing team. Goodrow, Class of 2020, is competing during the Greyhounds' spring season.

"I am very excited to see what the girls can do this spring coming off a very successful fall," said Aline Seekins, who is in her second season as head coach of the women's rowing team. "The girls have all worked really hard throughout the year and I expect to see them go out this spring and represent Assumption Rowing in a very positive way. Coming off our spring training trip the girls are ready to get back out on the water and I can't wait to see their hard work pay off as we race during the next two months."

The Assumption women's rowing team concluded its spring break tip to Florida by competing in the Rollins Invitational on Lake Maitland on March 11, placing fourth. The team's next regatta will take place on April 1 in Worcester, MA.
