Hopkinton To Open MIAA Football Playoffs Against Pembroke
The Hillers take on the Pembroke Titans in the first round of the football tournament.

HOPKINTON, MA – Hopkinton heads to the MIAA Football South Division 4 tournament, taking on Pembroke Oct. 27.
The Hillers, top-seeded with a perfect 7-0 record, will kick off the tournament against the eighth-seeded Titans, who enter the tournament with a 2-5 record. Hopkinton goes up against Pembroke Friday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. at home.
The winner will head to the semi-finals.

The MIAA switched to a playoff format in 2010. The state semi-finals are scheduled for the weekend of November 17 and 18, with state championship games scheduled for December 2 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
Hopkinton football coach Jim Girard was named the New England Patriots High School Football Coach of the Week this week for leading the Hillers to an undefeated regular season that included three shutout wins and the Hillers' first victory over neighboring Holliston in almost a decade.
