Hopkinton Police: Stolen Rabbit, Suspicious Man Smokes a Cigarette

Monday, July 29
7:26 a.m.: A caller from Turnbridge Lane reported that a rabbit was stolen from her property.
11:14 a.m.: A caller reported a “disheveled” looking man sitting on his car at the end of Glen Road. An officer spoke to the man who lived on the road and was out having a cigarette.

4:27 p.m.: Officers responded to a car crash on Hayden Rowe Street. The car caught fire and police were unable to extinguish it with a fire extinguisher. The driver of the vehicle was hospitalized and the vehicle was towed.
7:34 p.m.: A caller reported that his wallet was stolen from the locker room where he works on East Street.

Tuesday, July 30
1:43 a.m.: An officer spoke to people having a bonfire on Elm Street. The Fire Department ordered that the fire be put out.
4:10 p.m.: Officers responded to a car crash on Spring Street. One person was hospitalized and the vehicle was towed.
8:30 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious man at the Fruit Street fields that was hassling them and asking accusatory questions. The man left in a vehicle and the caller followed him into Westborough.
Wednesday, July 31
9:47 a.m.: A resident of Walcott Street reported a past break-in.
11:08 a.m.: A caller from Granite Street reported that someone who was working for him had stolen jewelry and spent more on a credit card than they were authorized to.
2:17 p.m.: Several callers reported a two-car crash on Grove Street. Both vehicles were towed but no injuries were reported.
