Services are on hand as students and staff deal with the death of a middle school student.

Services are on hand as students and staff deal with the Wednesday death of a Hopkinton Middle School student.
“We do have a crisis response team that gathers and they all deal with it collectively,” said Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent Jeannine Gilmore of the loss of the 13-year-old student.
That student's identity has been confirmed by officials as Shayne Desroches of Hopkinton. Gilmore said that it has been confirmed that he was a student at Hopkinton Middle School.
A message was released to parents by Superintendent Cathy MacLeod this morning, said Gilmore. Any further communication to parents will be released through the eflyer system.
