Hopkinton Water Usage Well Below State Average
An Article in the Boston Globe said Hopkinton residents use ten less gallons of water a day than the state average.

Hopkinton was recently listed as one of the MetroWest's most water-conscious communities, and town leaders acknowledge this success but think more can be done.
"The Hopkinton Conservation Commission and the Hopkinton Water Department would like to thank Hopkinton residents for their efforts in conserving our drinking water supply," the Conservation Commission said in a press release.
Hopkinton residents reportedly use an average of 54 gallons per day, more than ten gallons a day below the state average of 65.

"These efforts help to preserve our groundwater aquifers and ensure that our community continues to have access to safe, clean drinking water, which is our most precious resource," the Conservation Commission said.
The commission still suggests more way residents can reduce their impact on the water supply.
