Hopkinton's Carbone's Restaurant To Close After 87 Years

The restaurant has been a Hopkinton staple for almost 90 years.

HOPKINTON, MA — A Hopkinton staple of nearly 90 years will close its doors this fall. Carbone's Restaurant announced it will be closing in the coming months after 87 years in business.

The Carbone family, the owners of the Italian-American restaurant, hope to sell the restaurant to new owners. In a letter to customers, the family said the closing was due to "many business and personal reasons, too numerous to mention." The restaurant had been in the Carbone family for generations.

There's still no hard closing date, the owners said the date will depend on "several factors that are impossible to predict at this time."
