I-495 Crash Blocks Two Lanes, Heavy Traffic

HOPKINTON, MA- Five cars crashed on I-495 North Friday morning, closing the right and center lanes, leaving just the left lane open.

Of the five cars involved, two drivers had minor injuries including a 32-year-old man from Milford. Two other drivers had no injuries reported- state police did not have information on the condition of the last driver.

The crash happened just before Exit 22 to the Massachusetts Turnpike at the Fruit Street overpass in Hopkinton. Traffic was backed up to West Main Street.

The scene was cleared and all lanes were reopened by 10:30 a.m. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by state police.
