Main Street Eastbound to Close for More Construction

Starting Thursday morning, Aug. 8, traffic headed eastbound on Main Street will once again be detoured onto Pleasant Street and around downtown. The closure will impact drivers between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The construction, which is expected to last seven business days, will not impact traffic traveling westbound through town.

Police Officers will be assisting motorists and detour signs will be posted so motorists are able to drive to the downtown businesses. 

All of the downtown businesses are expected to be open, but hours may vary from business to business. Be sure to include extra travel time if you plan on heading into downtown in either direction.

The detour is necessary to complete the building water service transfers from 66 to 96 Main St. These are the long side services that require crossing the roadway.
